38. The Environment of the Apostles

They were not out-of-the-ordinary men. They were not exceptionally clever or spiritual men. They in no way were different than the other people of that time. They had their jobs, they were all representatives of their generation and of that time. And they did not show any bigger interest in a spiritual teaching than their contemporaries. Even though they had finished school according to your understanding and could read and write very well, render their thoughts in a clever fashion, bravely communicate with their own environment but no one of them had received a specialized learning, apart from their studies at the synagogue school, about God that was provided by the rabbi academies. They were aware of God that much as their environment allowed them to know. Therefore, it was difficult for them to receive my teaching per se as I had brought it to them so that after assimilating it they would remain unchanged, would not break the rituals and dogmas imposed on them by the environment. Such a step requires an exceptionally deep faith in the Father and devotion to Him. Such a step is made having felt a tremendous love of the Father within one‘s own self. And quite often, even this love of the Father, being felt within, inflames such a great fire within man that he begins to burn with a desire to carry this very fire to others. However, this fire, set on by the love of God, if carried unwisely can blind and scare others, those who have not yet felt that love, those who have not yet experienced, and therefore do not know, that love. And what is not yet known to and understood by man always causes his fear and anxiety. Therefore, man is inclined to cling to a thing already known to and understood by him rather than to step away from what seems to him to be close and clear for what is unknown and obscure.

And when the fire of the Father‘s love is inflamed in one‘s heart that is strongly driving one forward and when there is no deep understanding and experience as to what that fire of the Father‘s love desires to convey by its burning within man‘s soul, within his heart, then, that person, burning with the love fire, is apt to distorting quite a lot, to relate many things the way they are not as such in the reality so that only the others who listened to him would also catch that fire from within themselves. But the environment that the fire of the Father‘s love is being taken to is even less ready to receive at once my good tidings – The Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man; even as it has not been received by my apostles at once. And I had to teach them permanently for more than three years, to explain to them all the time that all are equally expected in the heavenly kingdom; not only the Jews but also the gentiles; all, without any exception.

Thus, when the environment is not ready and opened up to such an idea meanwhile a burning fire within is urging to move on and act from without it is very easy to get tempted to replace the true tidings by a more simple piece that would not be rejected by the environment.

But a surrogate shall never be as the original. It is especially important in the matters spiritual where an idea and teaching are not instantaneously verified with the eyes and hands. For this purpose one‘s inner vision, the vision of one‘s soul, is necessary. And it is achieved only thanks to one‘s sincere, persistent, and resolute efforts.

Since my apostles, unfortunately, have failed to comprehend my good tidings up to the message level so that they would have preached that news to all the world even as I have preached it to them the time has arrived that I myself have to address you once again. To address you in order to straighten up that distortion of my teaching so that, eventually, you would be able to experience the reality of my teaching, so that even those who shall not yet know this teaching, judging by your living, by your acts in everyday situations, would discern that you are walking on the path of my teaching.
